the old fashioned tiger lily is always a favorite -- these are decendents from those of my great grandmother -- they kind of pop up here there and everywhere -- tough buggers!

newly planted (05/09/10) squash and pumpkins... it was a good day to be planting -- they leap out of the ground when it warms up!

so, my part of this world was formed when the glaciers melted and the river warren (?) flowed thru this valley, we have some really steep ravines it's wild -- when you are standing at the top it feels like standing in a tree house looking out.... pictures just don't capture the true feeling

i heard a rumor so i went hunting -- the first (and possibly) earliest morel of the season -- lucky me -- the big question -- how many ticks managed to crawl on me....
